Ather Energy is set to launch its IPO on 28 April and the subscription window will open until 30 April. Ather Energy, founded in 2013, is an Indian company that makes electric two-wheelers. It handles everything from designing and developing electric scooters and battery packs to assembling them in-house. The company also builds its own charging infrastructure and software systems. Ather follows a vertically integrated approach, focusing strongly on both its products and technology.

As of 31 December 2024, Ather had built a wide network of physical locations. In India it has 265 experience centres and 233 service centres. Outside India, the company operated 5 experience centres and 4 service centres in Nepal, along with 10 experience centres and 1 service centre in Sri Lanka.

Ather’s product ecosystem includes Ather Grid, a public fast-charging network for electric two-wheelers. It also runs Atherstack, a proprietary software platform that powers its scooters with 64 connected features as of July 2024.

The company manufactures its products at its Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu. As of March 2024, this facility could produce 420,000 electric vehicles and 379,800 battery packs each year.

Globally, as of 28 February 2025, Ather Energy held 303 registered trademarks, 201 registered designs, and 45 registered patents. Additionally, it had filed applications for 102 more trademarks, 12 designs, and 303 patents.

Ather’s overall business strategy is built on four key pillars: vertically integrated design and engineering, a software-defined product ecosystem, premium positioning in the market, and capital-efficient operations.

As of 31 March 2024, the company employed 2,454 people in total. This included 1,458 on-roll employees and 996 off-roll staff.
